Clown shoes

"A standard clown shoe is 15". Most clowns order this size. However, on occasion, a clown that is portraying a character (ie: cop, fireman, chef, tramp, hobo, etc.) may order a longer shoe. For the clown that marches in parades or walks a lot, a longer length is not suggested. Women's standard clown shoe length is normally 13". Male shoe: 15" (standard) Women shoe: 13" (standard)"

Yes, but are they SPD-compatible?

The shoes are SPD, Time, and Look-compatible. (Gotta do something with that big teardrop front) The clowns aren't compatible, though.

Many children do. My friend Cathy's little boy dislikes them intensely which has proven challenging with all their hospital visits (clown doctors) and staying at Ronald McDonald House. But they've survived.

Can't say I thought about clowns much as a child.

Apparently, Jim, you are not alone.

*Chuckle* I was "good" with clowns until Stephen King had to mess it up for the rest of us. Heck I was "good" with Tim Curry in drag, but after "IT", he will never be the same to me...lol

Coulrophobia (fear of clowns) is a lot more common than you think. There's just something...creepy about most of them. It's not the smiling on the outside/sad on the inside thing so much as the forced joviality.

Or it's really early here and I'm talking out of my proverbial. Either way, I don't think you're going to be able to bike in big floppy shoes. :)
