Happy winter solstice

Yeah, I know it's only three seconds, but at the trend is positive. Soon, perhaps as early as March, I'll be able to bike to work in the daylight!

Woo-Hoo! Break out the suntan lotion!!

After the third weekend in January, it is again daylight at 5:00 PM around here. An occasion we look forward too every year, to be sure.

I don't have much time to find my sunglasses (in the annual "Where the hell did I put them?" search)

For some reason, it's the day with the earliest sunset (not the least daylight) that is the most depressing to me. We usually pass that day a few days before solstice, so I already feel like the wheel of the year is turning.

And happy summer solstice to you too!

Happy Holidays! I like the Winter Solstice "greeting". Let's hear it for Valdivia, Chile.
