Defenestrate means “to throw out a window,” which fits perfect in the context of reading pages after pages of patentese. “Ferkle” is a made up word, an homage to the 1991 program “ferkel” used to demonstrate how any user could read and write to the SunOS screen buffer. As detailed in Claim 42, subsection Foxtrot, part Uniform, its use has no relation to any persons living or dead.
